Coaching Older Athletes – Guest Post for AthleteWithStent.com

I recently wrote a guest post for a great Blog by Kevin Morgan who edits a great blog, the goal of which is to be an “information resource for older people, such as boomers, who wish to undertake a program of safe exercise for better health”.

The Senior Games helps to motivate older athletes.

I love coaching Masters athletes, because they tend to be in the sport for a reason and are motivated to work hard. As such, the old mantra, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” goes out the window, and what you have is an athlete who is willing to listen, learn and work hard.

In the post, I summarize my approach to coaching older athletes and how I help them reach their goals, given different experience levels, injury concerns, time priorities, etc, etc.
