Workout of the Week (WOW!): When the Going Gets Tough…

Goal: As the effort level increases, can you keep your stroke together and push through when it starts to hurt? You will have to on race day. Go for it!

Put some Billy Ocean on your waterproof mp3 player for this set!

Warm up:
200 Swim
2 x 100 pull (#2 faster than #1)
4 x 50 kick 1-4
8 x 25 build 1-4 Fast.

Main set: 

1 x 100 60% effort – 10 seconds rest
2 x 100 70% effort – 10 seconds rest
3 x 100 80% effort  – 10 seconds rest
2 x 100 90% effort  – 15 seconds rest
1 x 100 100% effort  – 15 seconds rest

Cool down:
100 easy swim
4 x 50 drill/swim by 25

Total: 2,000
